Cars from the past go head-to-head in a "Battle of the Bangers" to decide which is the best in class. With the help of car lovers all over the UK, they will delve into the performance, history, culture and iconography of each car before the final challenge to decide which car in that category comes out on top.
Mostly a documentary, with the presenters going into the history of their chosen cars and interviewing celebrity petrolheads about them. The actual contest at the end has a Top Gear-style challenge, and a vote by the various celebs interviewed across the series. Should the results be split, the decider is a vote of the show's followers on social media.
Two things grate a bit: firstly the product placement (but as this is an advertiser funded show, that was inevitable), and secondly the feeling that the voiceovers really needed a few more takes. Tinie in particular tends to sound like he's seeing the script in front of him for the first time (although since no writers are credited on the series, we assume that is not in fact the case and it's his own words, which makes his stilted delivery all the more bizarre).
