Biography
Former cruise ship singer who became probably the biggest star to emerge from the late 90s docusoap deluge. After all, much as we all loved the guy from Airport, knowing a lot about baggage handling was never likely to be the foundation for a long-lasting showbiz career. Whereas singing and entertaining the public very much was, and having emerged as an audience favourite on The Cruise, Jane McDonald went on to have a number one album (as well as several more smash hit long players in the years since) and become a successful presenter, fronting countless travelogues and spending several years as a panellist on Loose Women.
