Biography

A native of Southampton, Scott Mills began presenting radio shows when he was just 16. His career took him to local stations in Bristol, Manchester, and London, before joining Radio 1 in 1998; he took up the drivetime slot in 2004, then moved to early afternoon in 2012 - including the chart show - for another decade before moving over to Radio 2. After some time on afternoon shows, Scott took over Radio 2 Breakfast from Zoe Ball in early 2025; he was abruptly fired from this post in March 2026.

Scott has done much television work, including a stint alongside Lauren Laverne on Planet Pop in 2000. He's competed on Celebrity Mastermind, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, appeared as a mystery guest on Identity, and made cameo appearances on both Casualty and River City. An episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off featuring him was cancelled after he was accused of serious sexual offences against a teenage boy.
