With the thermometer pushing sixty squillion degrees, it's obviously time for the winter schedule to begin. Mastermind and University Challenge return (BBC2, Mon) and set sail for their finals next year.

A new run for Sewing Bee (BBC1, Tue), Love Island continues (VM2 and ITV2, all week). They finish off the Bridge of Lies, too (BBC1, Mon-Thu).
