Synopsis
It's The Piano, but with people who sing rather than play the piano.
Amateur singers are invited to play on stages in various public locations, where they are secretly watched by two judges. The best singer in each heat is given an invitation to perform in a final at a prestigious concert venue, where an overall winner is named. These decision points can be seen as a prize. Your Song isn't about the prize, but the journey.
Like The Piano, Your Song has a warm and wholesome tone throughout its run. The contestants themselves are not only very talented, but also have the most heart-warming and emotional backstories that never feel forced.
There are a few points of difference between the two shows: Your Song is hosted by the outgoing and bubbly Alison Hammond, and there are no pianos involved.
